And if I had a second which is also just as important it would be CHANGE ORDERS!
Change orders and client approvals are another major gap. As work evolves, we need the ability to create a change order directly against the affected task or original quote line, clearly show what changed and any cost or schedule impact, and send it to the client for remote digital approval/signature before proceeding. Currently, relying on checklists that require an in-person signature is too limiting for this type of workflow.
The ideal connected workflow would be:
Quote → Customer Selections → Job Tasks → AI Material List → Dependencies → Worker Assignments → Change Orders/Digital Approvals → Progress Tracking → Completion
The goal is for Jobber to help bridge the gap between estimating and actually executing the work—giving the field team a clear plan while giving the client real-time visibility and an easy way to approve changes throughout the project.
Wow this is something I am running into as well. We we are working on a project that is a state project and every step is a change order not a new job and I have no good way of doing this other than making a whole new quote and job.
