I am new on here so here and I have been using Jobber for about 2 1/2 months.
For me, rejection has never been easy, but I’ve learned not to take it personally. Every “no” gets me one step closer to the right “yes.”
When I started Wagner HVAC, my motivation was providing for my family. As we grew and started hiring employees, that motivation shifted. Now I have people depending on this company to help provide for their families too, and that keeps me pushing forward even when things don’t go my way.
The biggest challenge has been balancing family and business, but I’ve been blessed with an incredibly supportive wife. She encouraged me when I doubted myself, helped with finances, supported me through stressful days, and believed in me before the business was successful.
What keeps me motivated through rejection is remembering how far we’ve come. What started as an idea became a licensed company with vehicles and employees in less than two weeks. The moment it felt real was seeing our wrapped truck driving down the road.
My advice to anyone facing rejection: don’t let someone else’s opinion stop you. Most people spend years thinking about starting a business and never take the first step. Stop thinking about it and just do it. Keep moving forward, learn from every setback, and trust the process.
