I just realised that the Jobber community could be a great place to go for trade specific advice! It's like our secret club of small business owners to help each other out with our own problems.
I hear the same things in my industry too, those plug in ultrasonic deterrents for mice, peppermint oil, cloves, drawing chalk lines, dish soap, and my favourite... diatomaceous earth blocks! I simply tell people, "If these things worked, I wouldn't have a job".
