Xero/Jobber Integration Issues

Hey all! We were quite excited when the XERO / Jobber invoice integration was introduced. However, we have experienced a few issues, the most recent of which has created a rather large problem.

It appears that the integration has gone backwards and pushed through doubles of HEAPS of invoices, even those that have been closed or untouched for some time. Needless to say, this has posed a reconciliation nightmare and to add insult to injury, Jobber Support has pointed to the developer who has pointed us back to Jobber who has pointed to Xero Support.

Has anybody else experienced this or other issues with this integration?

Hi there! We're sorry to hear about these issues.

Contacting Xero support is indeed the correct path for any issues like this in the future. In this case, our team has reached out to them as well and is currently coordinating to find out exactly what caused this particular case and how we can prevent it in the future.

Someone will be reaching out to you to get this matter resolved!

Is there any update on the Xero integration, we really need a two way sync. It causes such a headache for our accounts receivables team to reconcile invoices etc.

Hello HouseKept! The Xero integration is still a one-way sync, I do not believe there are any plans to change that in the near future. We appreciate the feedback and will continue to share it with our Product Development team.

  • Hi, thanks for the information. (No value to add sorry)

I've been wanting to integrate myself but not cause myself and issue as such.

Did you manage to rectify the issue in the end?

If so, how did that go?

  • There seems to be no update, honestly I am getting so frustrated at the lack support and customer care jobber shows towards their clients. It's the most expensive CRM in the service industry, and nothing seems to fully work when they roll updates out.

This jobber/xero integration is so bad, we had to disconnect it and use an expensive zap to intergrate the systems.

    1. Failed uploading invoices into xero, with no notification system built in
    2. No two way sync
    3. When you update an invoice in one system it doesn't update in both
    4. When you mark a payment in one system it doesn't update in both
    5. There is only one option to have payments posted to. So if you use stripe/square for credit cards, and wire transfers for payments, it can only post to one account. You have to setup clearing accounts, and it is a complete mess to manage.

Warning! Do not integrate the systems with this app, it caused us $1000's of dollars in accounting and bookkeeping work to rectify the issues causes

    Hi housekeptaus

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the Jobber–Xero integration. I’m really sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve run into and the frustration it’s caused—especially around syncing issues and missing notifications.

I’ve shared your feedback with our development team so they can review the points you’ve outlined. Since the Xero integration was built and is maintained by Xero, I’d also recommend reaching out to their support team directly, as they’ll be best positioned to look into any functional or syncing issues from their side.

We appreciate you sharing the detailed examples of what hasn’t worked well. Feedback like this helps us and our partners identify where improvements are needed to make sure the integration runs smoothly for your business.

krista we've talked to Jobber's team and Xero's team as well as the third party who developed the integration. Jobber points the finger at Xero every time but it's Jobber's customers who use, need and benefit from the integration or, in this case, have been burdened by it.

Jobber needs to take accountability for its integrations if it's going to push them as selling points for using the system.

Hey Housekept_Tim! That's very fair. I can understand how this is impacting your business. I'd love to look into this a little more if I could. Do you happen to have a case number or the name of someone you've been working on this with recently?
