Obtaining business emails for email marketing

My first 2 seasons in business, obtaining email addresses did not seem like a big deal. But now with utilizing Jobber recently, I realize the power of having a large email list. With marketing campaigns, the options are endless and effortless; from referral options, lost leads, holiday engagement, the list goes on and on. Ultimately, this could be thousands of money left on the table. With that being said, there has to be an easy way to get a general email list of local businesses instead of digging through each company to find an email. Does anyone know of a way to gather these emails more efficiently?

Thanks

  • You can absolutely purchase an email list based on specific criteria, such as homeowners with a certain income or home value, real estate agents, local businesses, and property or facility managers. However, I’d be cautious about directly adding them to Jobber. Instead, I’d recommend having yourself, your sales team, or a VA work the list first—engaging prospects, building relationships, and gauging interest. Once someone expresses interest, you can add them to Jobber for future communication, referral opportunities, and ongoing engagement. This approach keeps your CRM clean and ensures higher-quality interactions.

  • Do you mean obtaining a mailing list from someone?  I would assume that there are privacy laws around this?
