ChatGPT with Jobber

Anyone doing anything cool with this ?

I'm thinking it could be used for estimating... any other neat things people are doing.

Right now all I'm doing is putting some invoices from the wholesaler in chatgpt and asking it to remove the pricing and put it in a point form list for me which it's doing great.

I'll also take the notes from the guys in the field and get chat gpt to make it into a nice professional point form list as well.

One other thing I've done is take a CSV file report from jobber and put it into chatgpt and get it to analyze the data.

Thanks !

I think one thing that's cool with Jack GPT is you can take a picture. Tell it to outline each window input of value from small medium to large. It's pretty cool feature. I would check it out. Saves a lot of time and makes the pictures look neat and professional

  • I have a Handyman business in the UK and worked on the tools for many years until managed to build systems and work on my business as opposed to in my business. Quoting has always been a nightmare and it's been one of the biggest bottlenecks i've came accross apart from hiring subcontractors.

I know live in Vietnam and operate my business remotely while I build systems and processes that automate and streamline.

We heavily rely on Whatsapp quoting now as it's a win-win for us and the customer but we have a lead scoring matrix system which decides if this is viable.

This sounds awesome - being able to live in another country while keeping things running smoothly really shows how well it's all running for you! Well done!

Do you mind sharing any info about how your lead scoring matrix?

And using WhatsApp for quoting - is this purely so you can see photos & videos of the work instead of having to be on site?

Thank you! It's been going pretty well but always looking at improving systems and increasing profits!

We have built a an Ai scoring system based of many variables such as estimated job value, complexity, job variables etc

        Some of the rules:

        • Online Quote: Suitable for simple, standardized jobs with clear requirements, low complexity, and costs under £300.
        • Video Quote: Best for medium complexity jobs needing visual assessment in the cost range of £200-£800.
        • Site Visit: Appropriate for complex jobs or high-value work, such as structural or electrical jobs, costing over £500.

        We analyse:

        1. Job Complexity
        2. Information Completeness (dimensions, materials, access)
        3. Need for Visual Assessment
        4. Risk Factors (scope creep or complications)
        5. Value Range (estimated total cost)
        6. Customer Urgency

This framework allows us to choose the highest-scoring method based on job characteristics.

Take a look at this landing page with the "Get a free estimate" button and give it a try!

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated as this version is still in beta 😊

ChatCPT is part of my tech stack now. I upgraded to the paid version last month and it's been helping me re work my company handbook.

  • I am self-taught with AI. I have an Appliance Repair company now, but I used to work in a field that utilized a ton of automation, so it has always fascinated me. I am always looking at ways to integrate automation into my daily routines. ChatGPT was a natural progression in my business. I have been playing with ChatGPT for a couple of years now.

Being able to upload documents and pictures has been a game changer. There are also several AI models that are specialized for appliance repair. I can upload a 100 page tech manual for a machine and then ask ChatGPT questions and it is basically like having a conversation with the engineer of the unit.

wonderful. thanks so much for sharing!

  • I use the paid version of ChatGPT. I have created my own custom CSR where I uploaded my business details. Name, address, etc. and the different staffing roles. I uploaded my policy and procedure manual, my safety manual, and a plethora of SOP's. I told it how I do my billing based on location for travel costs etc.

I also gave it a personality that is friendly and understanding, but firm and fair. I use it to quote jobs, generate replies to emails, write up liability waivers and contracts. Make offers to purchase etc.

Basically, anything that you would want to run by the hive mind.

🤯 Paid version, that’s next-level!  I love how you've customized ChatGPT to fit your business so seamlessly. Giving it a personality and loading it with your SOPs and manuals is genius!

Were you self-taught on how to get utilize ChatGPT or was there a youtube video, course, etc. to help get you started?

I'm curious to learn more about the note summerizing you mentioned. How did you go about connecting internal notes within Jobber to Chat GPT -- does Chat GPT automatically update notes for you?

I've found connecting Chat GPT and Jobber can be a hassle aside from manually uploading CSV files and asking questions about the data.

Oh nothing special I'm just copy and pasting between the two. I have a dedicated ChatGPT / Electrical chat going in chatgpt so in that chat it already knows how I like things and what my company is all about.

YESSSS! We've built out our own custom Chatgpt estimator which allows us to price projects and send out exact scopes of work within minutes. Up until now, this was the ONLY part of the business I could not have someone else do. Now the sky's the limit!

When you say "built" a custom ChatGPT estimator, what does that mean exactly? Is that still a prompt based format that you basically setup and run as a standalone "chat"? Or does the paid version give extra options/functionality? Are you using the free or paid version? (Very much an AI novice here, have used the free version of ChatGPT a little bit.)

Wow, how neat! Automating the estimating process must be a huge time-saver, especially for such a critical part of the business. Are there other areas you’re thinking of applying ChatGPT to now that you’ve unlocked this potential?

Could you tell us more about this or point us in the right direction to a youtube vid or something like that? I would love to learn more about this.
