Can I have some examples on what tags are helpful for and why its a good idea to use them? Thanks

Depends on your business. For us we are a pool company. So it helps that we tag customers with certain features for when we want to market. Like "salt pool'' "heated Pool" "covered pool" then we can pull lists if we only want to market to customer with heated pools for a promotion etc.
