What after-hours answering setup actually reduces next-day admin?
For those using an after-hours answering service, virtual receptionist, or AI phone agent: what has worked well beyond taking a message?
Say a customer calls at 8 p.m. with a service request. By the next morning, can your setup create or update the right customer record in Jobber, capture the job details, and assign a clear next step? Or does your office still have to listen to the call, re-enter everything, and chase down missing information?
I'd love to hear which service or setup you're using and where you draw the line on what it can handle. Do you let it book within set rules, route urgent calls, or create follow-up tasks? What still needs someone on your team to review?
Most of all, how do you tell whether it's paying off: less admin time, more booked jobs, fewer missed follow-ups, or something else? A specific example of what worked (or didn't) would be really helpful, especially if you're using Jobber.
