Welcome to The Home Service Community!
We’re so glad you’re here to connect with a community of home service pros who get what you're building!
Your job is to share advice, ask questions, get answers, and help us build a space you want to keep coming back to! Entrepreneurship can be lonely but you are not alone—this community is here to support you!
Here are some helpful tips to make the most of it:
1. Create your profile
Help us create a welcoming space by sharing a bit about yourself.
- Create a username that best represents you, such as first name, last initial. Never add a phone number or other sensitive information to your username.
- Add a profile picture under "My Profile"—you can upload a headshot, your company logo, or choose from one of our avatars. Images must follow our Community Guidelines around accurate representation.
- Under "My Settings", you can include some additional details about yourself, like the country or city you're in, your business info, or a short bio.
2. Read our Community Guidelines
Our Community Guidelines outline a few rules and tips that we ask you follow in order to help everyone get the most out of the community—being respectful is number one. You’ll also find info on what kinds of posts are allowed, how to handle spam or inappropriate content, and what to expect from moderators.
3. Jump into a conversation
Add your thoughts and advice to one of the following posts, or explore all of the forums. Your unique experience might be exactly what another community member needs to hear, so don’t be shy about offering another point of view to a post with lots of answers!
How do you go about pricing your services for profit?
How do you deal with damage to your client's property?
4. Search before you ask a new question and tag your posts
It’s likely that you may have a question that another user has asked before you. To avoid duplicates, we recommend you search for a question or topic before creating a new post—there’s a handy search bar at the top of every page, along with a tag bank.
If you can’t find the information you are looking for, feel free to Start a Discussion in the most appropriate board. Be sure to tag your post with the industry you’re in and what business topic you’re posting about to help other members find their answers quickly.
5. Share your feedback!
We want this to be THE BEST community it can be, and YOU are the ones building it with us, so let us know what you think or how we can improve your experience by emailing community@getjobber.com.
This community started in our Jobber Entrepreneurship Group on Facebook, where to this day, thousands of home service pros go to trade advice. This dedicated space you’re visiting now, The Home Service Community, allows us to better organize the hundreds of helpful posts into categories, add tags, and make all the great advice you’re sharing more searchable. Think of this community like your home service encyclopedia!
That’s it from us! Let’s get building!
Cheers,
Jobber Community Team
