Virtual assistant
Sorry if this is a repeat post. I did some searching on here and didn’t find what I’m asking. I keep hearing about virtual assistants used for service pros. I’m a 1 man show right now trying to delete and automate as much as possible to leave room for growth and expansion. I heard virtual assistants can help with a number of task. Does anyone have a company they refer or use? What has been the feed back? How has that helped utilizing a VA and Jobber together? Thank you !Stage/Progress Payments
Sorry if this question has been asked, i couldn't see anything when searching. We are a Electrical and Solar contractor and I'm trying to find the best way to do stage or progress payment invoices on a job. For example on Solar project we like to do a 10% deposit to cover admin, permitting etc. This is easy in jobber. After that we like to do a 50% of project invoice after equipment is delivered to site then a final 40% invoice on completion. I don't see a great way to do this and and pull of the project total. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks SeanHow Are You Building Your Systems & Processes?
I’ve been diving into ways to build better systems and processes lately, and I’m curious to learn from the community. Whether it's managing workflows, tracking progress, or using flowcharts, there are so many tools and methods out there to explore. What are you using to stay organized, efficient, and productive? Are you a fan of tools like Lucidchart, Trello, or Asana? What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced in building systems that actually work for you or your team? Personally, I’ve been experimenting with Chatgpt and Lucidchart, but I’m always looking for fresh ideas to improve. Let’s share what’s working (or not!) and inspire each other to level up our workflows. Looking forward to hearing about your tools, processes, and insights!Jobber Failing to update features
I have contacted Jobber on multiple occasions. We mow seasonally. We need an option to turn the routes off during the winter. Currently we have to go through each customer at the beginning of the Spring season to move the start date, in order to clear the "late visits" The other thing they need to do like Service Auto Pilot, is allow you to skip a week. If it is during acrought and some yards do not need mowed and get skipped, we need to be able to hit skip. The customer should not be charge and it would pick up on the schedule to following week. I have also contacted them about mows from many months earlier that have already been paid, randomly appearing on numberous customer's invoices.Google Business Profile Activity
I noticed a large home service company posting lengthy daily updates about their services, including zip codes and original photos on their GBP pages. Since they are backed by PE and supposedly earning nearly $100M in revenue, I figured I would copy the strategy and see how it works. I am spending the next 90 minutes to schedule as many posts as possible.67Views3likes4CommentsThe Power of Distant Mentorship
In today’s world, some of the most impactful mentors are people we’ve never met. Through their content, they share their wisdom, experiences, and strategies, guiding us from afar. For me, one of those game-changing figures is Alex Hormozi. Alex’s straightforward advice and no-nonsense approach to business have completely reshaped how I think about growth, discipline, and strategy. His ability to break down complex ideas into simple, actionable steps has helped me make better decisions, even when things felt overwhelming. What makes distant mentorship so powerful is that it’s always there when you need it. On tough days, revisiting Alex’s videos or insights gives me the clarity and motivation to keep moving forward. It’s a reminder that even without meeting someone in person, their work can profoundly impact your path. Who’s been your distant mentor?
