Are You Actually Making Money on Every Job, or Just Staying Busy?

It’s easy to look at a packed schedule and feel like business is booming. But at the end of the month, when you factor in fuel, drive time, labor, equipment wear, and material price hikes—are your margins where they need to be?

When was the last time you re-evaluated your job pricing?

If you aren't auditing your recurring jobs at least once a year, you’re essentially giving your clients an unearned discount while your supply, insurance, and payroll costs climb. We review our job times quarterly in Jobber. If a recurring clean consistently runs 20–30 minutes over the original bid, we reach out with a rate adjustment or reset the scope. Being "busy" 45 hours a week with thin margins just wears out your equipment, burns out your cleaners, and leaves you with nothing to show for it on payroll day.
