Enjoy the truck man, it's your business and you don't need to justify every move you make or every purchase you make. They don't see the nights on the computer, stressing about leads, no charge follow-ups, marketing budgets, customer complaints... the list goes on and on.
Nothing worse than a worker who wants to make more money, but do the exact same tasks. If you step up the business steps up. If you generate more money, there is more money to go around. A bonus is the way to go. A salary plus a bonus is highly motivating to an employee, they grind to add supplemental income.
