Is it worth rebuilding power tool batteries instead of buying new ones?

Hey guys I have a ton of batteries ranging from Hilti to dewalt to Milwaukee

I have been seeing guys rebuild them and say they are doing for like 60 bucks is this true? or is it just a waste of time?
