Should a painting contractor use an orbital or pneumatic sander for walls and furniture?

I can understand being hesitant when a tool has a higher price tag. I usually look at it as an investment question: Will it save enough time, reduce hand fatigue, or improve the finished work enough to justify the cost?

If it does, then the higher upfront price may actually be cheaper over time. I would probably keep the DeWalt too and use each tool for the jobs it handles best.
