What's one Jobber feature you wish you had started using sooner?

I've been exploring how different home service businesses use Jobber, and it's interesting that two companies can use the same software in completely different ways.

What's one feature, workflow, or habit that made you think:

"I wish I'd known about this six months ago."

Whether it's scheduling, quoting, invoicing, client communication, reminders, or something else, I'd love to hear what's made the biggest difference for your business.

Hopefully this thread helps newer members discover some hidden gems too.

  • Hi Olu,

I wish we had started using Jobber payments sooner! It is super easy to use and convenient, helping streamline applied payments and making it easier for customers to pay with one click- compared to sending them another separate payment link. Our customers love it, and so do we. I am also happy I read the comment above about Jobber Marketing Suite, this is all great information. Glad you posted this thread, it surely helps all of us work together and learn together!

Thanks for sharing your experience! That's a great example of how a small change can make a big difference in day to day operations. Making it easier for customers to pay is a win for everyone, and I can definitely see how having payments automatically tied to the right invoices would save time for the office as well.

I'm glad this thread has sparked some helpful conversations. I've already picked up a few ideas myself, so I appreciate you contributing!

I'm in a unique position because I've used pretty much all the features from early on. I'd say the one thing people probably should use is the marketing suite, and this is only getting better. Where most companies have a mental block is in reaching out to their list, regularly, and the marketing suite makes that easy. They are rolling out a feature where you can manage a whole marketing calendar from one place, you guys HAVE to check that out when it comes out to everyone. It's really helpful especially if you have other people helping with making posts and stuff. You can have them post to Facebook right from Jobber.

Till this becomes fully rolled out, I'd highly recommend people set up a regular cadence of sending out educational emails to their clients.

That's a great point. I think a lot of businesses do an excellent job serving customers but don't always stay connected after the job is done. Consistent, educational communication is an easy way to stay top of mind without feeling overly promotional.

The marketing calendar looks like a solid addition too. Having emails and social posts organized in one place should make it much easier to plan ahead, especially for teams where different people handle marketing.

      Thanks for sharing this.

  • It's interesting how the feature you ignore at first often becomes the one you wonder how you ever lived without.

  • Great question! As I’m growing Mowing With A Purpose Landscaping, one feature I’ve come to appreciate is having everything organized in one place. Being able to keep track of customer information, estimates, scheduling, invoices, and communication has made running the business much more efficient.

One lesson I’ve learned is that building good systems early saves a lot of time later. I’d rather create consistent processes now than try to organize everything after the business has grown.

I’m still exploring more of what Jobber has to offer, so I’d love to hear what features experienced users consider “must-haves.” Are there any automations, reporting tools, or scheduling features that have had the biggest impact on your business?
