What's your equipment horror story?

In my world of pest control there are sort of industry standards of equipment, but starting out I tried to find the cheaper options (Amazon mostly).

Has anyone had any horror stories of buying the cheaper options and regretting it?

    Absolutely! I bought two of the disinfection guns - one with the backpack and the price was 6K!!!! for the pandemic.  Did not go anywhere and made us no money at all.
