We are hot on our PPE. Our teams comprise of Tree Surgeon and Groundsmen. All have arb boots, chainsaw trousers, breathable bright orange/yellow tops and jackets, Helmets with visors and ear defenders. Climbing harnesses/ equipment which all are LOLER checked at 6 month intervals. We also do checksheets on all kit, weekly to ensure everyones kit is up to standard and if not it is replaced. We also hold toolbox talks on the importance of PPE and wearing it properly.
You can never be sure when something is going to go wrong, so being prepared all the time helps eliminate some of the risks
