I've been offering year-round service to my lawn care clients. They pay a lower monthly fee, but we get work (and paid) every month of the year. We also offer gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and some handyman services.

It depends on where you live. In a climate that is lucky to get all four seasons you offer snow removal and de-icing sidewalks, drive throughs, parking lots. In areas that do not get snow you can offer potted plants by the doors, decorations, lights and Christmas trees and tree removal for the holidays. Be creative. Allot of people do not decorate for the holidays because their schedule doesn't give them the time. You can be the solution to the problem.

At The Garden Empire, we’ve expanded our services to include the sale and installation of greenhouse light deprivation covers, helping local growers extend daylight hours and counteract the slower growth cycles caused by Southern California’s unpredictable weather patterns. We’ve also begun offering greenhouse heaters and supplemental lighting systems—solutions designed to support existing gardens during the slower months. Rather than chasing new leads during seasonal lulls, we’re prioritizing the needs of our current clients, ensuring their gardens continue to thrive year-round.

We are in SoCal and are getting a lot of new homes in our area. We are posting in the local Facebook groups and going to the homes to leave our flyers. This has been working and a lot of the new homes need concrete. We will be closed for the Holidays during this slow season.

Snow and Ice management, dormant season pruning and more recently some protracted landscape projects that will continue for another year or two. Spring will be here before we know it!

We do snow removal, Firewood sales and delivery, Winter Planters, and small construction, like flooring, painting and some light building construction.

Gutter cleaning is an easy way to boost your fall/winter revenue. Get that backpack blower on the roof and blast those gutters out :)

We are located in the Southeast so we switch focus to tree care and planting. Next year we are going to add holiday lights. I really like the ideas above from Susan C.
