Starting Fertilization Programs – How Did You Get Comfortable Selling It?
We’re a landscaping company that has primarily focused on mowing, mulching, and general maintenance, and we’re now looking to roll out a fertilization and weed control program.
To be honest, there’s a bit of hesitation on our end—not from a demand standpoint (we know the opportunity is there), but more around:
- Confidence in delivering consistent results
- Managing customer expectations
- Handling callbacks or issues if lawns don’t respond as expected

How did you get comfortable getting started? Did you start small with existing clients or go all-in right away?
How do you set expectations with customers upfront?
