Tough call with employees vs. subs in your painting biz! Employees give you control and a solid brand, but the taxes and slower pace hit profits hard. Subs can save cash and work faster, but Texas cracks down if you treat them like employees think fines or tax headaches. Quality’s also a gamble with subs.
Try a mix: keep a few employees for tricky jobs, use subs for quick ones. Sharpen your bids to stay competitive. What’s the biggest pain with your crew now? Others in painting how do you balance this?
