We used to try to schedule garage door installations in advance, but our suppliers seem to have gotten less and less reliable when it comes to delivery scheduling and also with damage to sections. We now run a system of tentative dates that get revised until we actually have the door in house and can inspect it for damage. Our customers get updated as often as possible and they seem to understand the dynamics at play here. We are in rural Canada, so shipping is often 3rd party and damage is frequently an issue. In a larger center with more local suppliers, we would definitely push for advance scheduling.
