This month had a recurring thread running through the best conversations: what it actually costs to run a business: in time, money, and everything in between. These five members had something real to say about it. ๐ MoisesCabriales โ for not being afraid to ask. Questions like "How to get HVAC customers when starting out with little to no marketing budget?" are exactly the convos more people are thinking about but not starting. Keep them coming. michael090 โ for bringing sharp, actionable advice without the fluff. Their breakdown of how to push margins from 20% to 30% and their reply reframing lead struggles as a follow-up system problem are the kind of responses that make threads worth reading twice. MendenhallCtrg โ for starting one of the most substantive threads this month. Their post on pricing from actual business costs (not competitor rates) and their reply in the parental leave thread was the kind of honest, been-there answer that's hard to come by. OdHoneyBee โ for the most unexpected AI use case of the month. Using AI for bee species identification to cut down on misrouted calls is a great reminder that the best tools solve your specific problem, not someone else's. StandingonGrace โ for jumping in with both feet. From sharing a practical take on quoting in the cleaning industry to opening up about the personal story behind starting Crown Dominion Cleaning, they're bringing the kind of range that makes a community feel real. Drop a comment to give these members some love โ and if you've been sitting on a question or a story, this is your sign to post it. ๐julie9 days agoJobber Community Team47Views2likes1CommentUnited States Construction Industry Foundation, Inc.

I just joined Jobber today and figured I should introduce myself. My name is Aerrik Hovden and I own Ditch Chicken Rental. I started my company way back in January this year. Ditch Chicken is a light equipment rental company specializing in mobile light plants. I currently own one Generac Magnum light plant, which is currently on rent with my first customer. My company works, or will work with, oilfield companies, agricultural services, construction companies, and contractors. I'm also open to renting out to events. Really anyone who needs a 6kw generator or 4kw of extra lighting.DitchChicken1 month agoContributor 259Views1like1CommentMarch Community Spotlight: Threads Worth Reading Twice!
This month's spotlight goes to five members who brought real substance to the community through original posts, thoughtful replies, and the kind of experience-backed insight that makes this space genuinely valuable. threerelectric ๐ for jumping in with a specific, field-tested answer on tracking material costs as an electrical contractor. Short, practical, and exactly the kind of reply that helps other trades pros protect their margins. TurfT ๐ for sharing what they've actually built, not just what they think. Their post walking through a streamlined client enrollment workflow using Jobber, Stripe, and Zapier is a great example of the kind of practical contribution that helps everyone level up. OrdoniaB ๐ for bringing a client-first perspective to a thread about handling budget gaps in roofing. Thanks for laying out a clear, honest approach built on transparency. Your approach helps build trust with clients and credibility. ZacRadcat ๐ for going above and beyond to share knowledge with the community this month. They posted several detailed breakdowns of business books like The E-Myth Revisited and Profit First, connecting the core ideas directly to the realities of running a home service company. These aren't just summaries, they're starting points for real conversation. JHTS ๐ for consistently showing up in threads with detailed, experience-based replies. Running a tree services company in the UK, they shared a candid look at how bringing on an admin and building out systems in Jobber transformed how their business operates, from field safety forms to scheduling and lead tracking. Drop a comment to congratulate this month's members, and if you've been thinking about posting or replying, consider this your sign!julie1 month agoJobber Community Team25Views1like0CommentsHome Service Pros, This is Your Era. But Are You Taking Advantage of it?
This is the era of the blue collar business owner. Demand is strong, job sizes are growing, and the economy needs you more than ever. BUT there's a widening gap between businesses that are pulling ahead and those just keeping up, and it comes down to the tools they use. 88% of fully-booked, high-growth businesses are using AI in their day-to-day operations. Only 27% of struggling ones are. 64% of pros under 30 are already using AI and they're applying it across invoicing (61%), quoting (55%), marketing (55%), and more. ๐ A new 2026 Home Service Trends Report breaks down exactly what top performers are doing differently: pricing, lead gen, response times, and more. Where do you think your business falls? Are you keeping up, or pulling ahead?julie1 month agoJobber Community Team101Views2likes3Comments
