Business Phone Number - Who's Should You Use and How Should You Use it?
When it comes to phone numbers, I treat the Jobber phone number as an “automation line,” not my primary business number. I use it for all the built-in Jobber automations—invoice/receipt texts, appointment reminders, “on my way” notifications, and anything else Jobber sends out automatically. It’s great for consistent system messaging and keeping those operational texts separate from my real day-to-day communication. The reason I don’t use the Jobber number as my main public-facing number (website, trucks, yard signs, etc.) is ownership and portability. The Jobber number can’t be ported out, so if you ever switch systems or change your setup, you don’t truly “own” that number long-term. I’ve made the mistake of putting a non-portable number on marketing before, and it’s a headache when you realize it can’t follow you. Instead, I recommend your primary business number be something you control and can port—either from a carrier, Google Voice (depending on your needs), or another platform where portability is confirmed. Then use tools like Chiirp (and I haven’t personally explored GoHighLevel/Hatch deeply, but they’re in the same category) for your primary communication + higher-level automation, because those platforms typically offer much more robust automation like out-of-office replies, drip campaigns, and automated texting workflows. So my personal setup philosophy is: Jobber number = system/operations messaging only; your “real” business number = portable, owned by you, and used everywhere customer-facing. Then if you need advanced automations like out-of-office replies, I’d build those in a dedicated communication/marketing platform that’s designed for it—not inside the Jobber number.HUGEHandyman2 days agoJobber Ambassador143Views6likes13CommentsQuick Books - Book Keeping & Jobber

I’ve been working on reducing the amount of back-and-forth it takes for a new client to enroll in my lawn care program. Instead of the usual process of request → quote → approval → invoice → payment, I built a simple workflow using Jobber, Stripe, and Zapier. A client fills out my Jobber request form on my website and is immediately redirected to securely add their credit card on file through Stripe. Once that step is completed, a Zap automatically: • updates the client status in Jobber • sends the client a welcome email • notifies me so I can schedule the work The goal was to eliminate manual steps and make it easy for clients to enroll without multiple emails, quotes, or invoices. It’s still early, but it has already saved time because when someone wants to sign up I can simply send them to the website and the process handles most of the onboarding automatically. Curious if anyone else has experimented with similar workflows to simplify client onboarding.TurfT8 days agoContributor 247Views1like4CommentsJobber & Responsibid Connection Help
Has anyone figured out a way to Fix the ResponsiBid → Jobber Integration for Service Line Items? We use ResponsiBid to generate estimates, which then automatically sync into Jobber as jobs through the integration. The issue is that the service line items coming from ResponsiBid do not match the line items we already have set up in Jobber. Because of this mismatch, Jobber does not recognize those services when setting up automations such as campaigns or automated emails. For example, when trying to create an automated campaign based on a specific service performed, the system cannot detect the service line items that were imported from ResponsiBid. Problems this causes: Imported jobs do not match existing Jobber line items. Campaigns and automated emails cannot be triggered based on services performed. There is no easy way to standardize service tracking when using ResponsiBid. Feature Requests / Possible Solutions: Line Item Mapping: Allow users to map ResponsiBid line items to existing Jobber line items so imported services match correctly. Rename Line Items: Allow editing or renaming imported line items so they can match existing services in Jobber. Bulk Conversion Tool: Provide a way to bulk convert or remap ResponsiBid line items to Jobber line items after jobs are imported. Automation Compatibility: Ensure imported line items can trigger campaigns and other automations in Jobber. Currently, the only workarounds appear to be manually editing line items, exporting and re-importing jobs via spreadsheets, or building third-party automations (e.g., Zapier). A native solution for mapping or standardizing line items would make the ResponsiBid → Jobber integration much more useful for businesses that rely on service-based automation.PowerWashMD10 days agoContributor 210Views0likes0CommentsGo High Level Vs Chiirp
Hey Guys! Anyone have an opinion on these two programs vs each other? I feel like chiirp is kind of over priced and hard to use. I've been hearing good things about High level. Anyone have an opinion on it? Or even better, has anyone used both and have an opinion on the matter?HUGEHandyman19 days agoJobber Ambassador54Views1like2CommentsStop wasting time doing job site visits
I just did a demo with Live Switch and if you are spending a lot of windshield time knocking out quotes I HIGHLY suggest you look in to it. I'm not a sales person or anything for them but I feel like I just spend $1200 bucks for the year to save me at least 80 hours of time of the course of a year, probably a lot more. They have an AI integration that'll summarize the video calls also.HUGEHandyman28 days agoJobber Ambassador35Views1like1CommentHow Are You Doing Service Agreements in Jobber?
One of the places I feel like Jobber could improve the most is making service agreements more easy to administrate. It's a little chunky doing the re-occurring job thing. For those companies that have a lot of these, how are you guys doing in in Jobber?HUGEHandyman30 days agoJobber Ambassador61Views1like3CommentsHave you used OneStepGPS in Jobber?
Just got a demo of OneStepGPS. I'm looking for a fleet tracking system and integrating with Jobber sounds great. BUT They couldn't run a demo of it in Jobber, didn't have screenshots, really couldn't tell me anything about how it integrates beyond "you'll see everything in Jobber" Anybody have this, can you share how it works, maybe some screen shots? @JobberDevelopers One of the other programs I looked at is on the ball and wants to integrate with Jobber.
