This may a seem a little much or maybe off topic but I think we can all agree on one thing and that is estimating/ pricing jobs. There's obviously platforms out there for that specifically, but let's be honest, a lot of the apps or systems that deal with business management are really not that good or they are very expensive. I'm here to tell you right now I've tried a few different ones. I even came to jobber and still went and tried out another app. Let's just say I was very unhappy with it and made my choice on jobber immediately. Now that I've used it quite a bit and have learned the system, I love it even more. There are still things that jobber can handle that I don't even use, soon enough I will. But, back to the question... If there was one thing... It would definitely be adding an AI estimate system where you could take pictures and put in information related to that job. Ai can pull recent and local pricing from related businesses and then the contractor, me who uses the jobber app, can have a better idea Rather than researching for hours. Established businesses for years or new starting up businesses can both use this system. The new Young bucks are learning and don't really know they question a lot go back and forth and might even lowball just to make sure they get the job. The old heads might be stuck on the same pricing. They had 5 to 10 years ago but we all know over time everything goes up. Like I said there are many apps that do this but I haven't found any that do what jobber does and also incorporate job estimates. Price ranges may suggest materials needed for the job like drop cloths rags nails caulking and just all the small stuff that is usually missed when making a bid or building a price list for materials. Anyways like I said I freaking love this app. I'm not going anywhere either way. Who? Me? Nahhhh jobber took some of my money but it put even more back in my pocket. In all honesty, if I get off work at 5:00 I used to come home and do paperwork till 8:00 or 9:00 in the evening. Now I might take up 20 or 30 minutes to write down one or two things and double check everything. Then I can spend time with my family. I would suggest looking into one thing... That is the system where you send out quotes or invoices. The download PDF option has moved to another section and works different. It would be nice to have this more accessible and also when downloaded change the status of invoice or quote to sent. I love this option because when a company emails me with a address and request for work... I can attach the quote or invoice to the original email that was sent to me from the business... Rather than sending it to an email or text, which goes back to the company or person who sent the original email as an individual text, or a new email... If they request work through an email, then I send the quote as an email back to them... The correlating job and quote are now separate and have to be searched for. Also, if the job is accepted when I finish the job I have to send in invoice which would also be sent as a new email.. now you have three different emails over a couple of days or maybe weeks and is very hard to keep up with them. The PDF option is the best. When it comes down to it I have no complaints. Be nice to lower the prices for higher options such as extra people. But the first subscription for one person is great. I love it. Or it would be nice to allow one one other person that cannot manage or edit anything on jobber but can look at scheduled jobs clock in and out and take pictures of work before and after. Maybe even add some notes. I understand y'all have other options for this but it jumps up to a couple people. I love it. How it is I would just like to add one person and I would have to to pay a good bit more just for that. But hey what do I know. The only other things that I would change is how hard it is to find a decent worker that has a little drive and a little bit of sense. One of those things you can show somebody how to do something and teach them all kinds of things. But there is one thing I've learned... If you can't read a tape measure... Or cut something straight within an eighth of an inch on either side which is being very lenient.... They probably ain't going to learn nothing. Probably didn't even want to be there. Offer people $18 an hour starting off... Show me you work steady... And show me that you're going to show up when you tell me you are... Or at least communicate. Not too much to ask for but I don't know. Obviously it is nobody want to do nothing nowadays. So if y'all can incorporate a hiring section with a picture of the candidate pros and cons. Like skills and weaknesses. And quote desired pay. That will be awesome. Nowadays people lazy the old heads work in circles around the Young bucks. I mean 70-year-old men doing circles and running extension ladders faster than a 25-year-old. Cuz they're from back in the day when men was men boys was boys and girls was girls. People complain about money but they don't understand they hold the power. Go in bust your **bleep** over exceed do extra. Don't ask to borrow money. Make yourself A true valuable asset to their company. Be humble and reasonable but go after what you want. Speak firmly because you know your position. Nah these fools out here I do this. I do that I always show up I don't ask for money up front. Got my shit together. Next thing you know third day in oh hey can I run over here real quick? I got to take care of this or damn I'm sorry I overslept. All I'm saying show up do what you got to do and go after the amount of money you're owed. Not all bosses are like me too many. Want to start people off at $80 a day or $100 a day on an 8-hour day in construction. Okay cool. Start off at 100 first couple days. If you know what you say you know and you move like you say you will, I'll pay you good. Probably jump straight till 1:40 next show me some more or show me you can do things and do them right. Not have to go back over it. $200 a day lead man. Guess what? Been at this for 6 months and still ain't found nobody make it makes sense. People out here making $12 an hour getting shit on by their boss but too scared to leave their comfort zone for a better situation.
