Would love to have something that figured hourly rate needed. When starting up. Then actively keeps track weekly, monthly, yearly, what I need to be charging in slow time of the year vs busy. To stay profitable. So you can adjust the rate when needed.
I've learned that once you get established You can just about price how you want... Couple things that can give bigger chance on winning the bid.. I'll tell you one offer at least three different prices when you estimate. Different stages of completion or higher grade materials. Whatever than a customer has a single price and it feels too high. They have two options except or decline you give three options now they got something to think about you're not telling them what it has to be. Bring up what it takes to pay your insurance and your guys and your vehicles and your gas backing forth and all the small materials that most people don't think about or the extra time it's going to take for certain things. People look at a price and they're like oh my God why but they don't know the scope of the work. A little bit of information and they'll be like wow okay. Charge a little extra. Don't lowball just to get the job. That way if there's any mishaps or if you have to go back after finished it's covered then you can guarantee your work 100%. I always do and I'll go back five times if I have to. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. Sorry just going on and on but wanted to throw a couple things out there. Have a good one
