If I could hand off one task, it would be the day-to-day tracking of order statuses across our different vendors on an individual basis. Having a tool to monitor product availability, backorders, and expected delivery dates in a centralized location would give me the accurate information I need to make better decisions about scheduling and installation timelines.
Delegating that process would allow me to focus more of my time on Purchasing and job preparation and would make sure jobs are moving forward efficiently. It would also help us communicate more accurate timelines to our customers, reduce last-minute scheduling changes, and keep projects better organized from ordering through installation.
Ultimately, the goal here is having the right information at the right time so I can plan proactively rather than reactively, while providing a more organized, professional, and dependable experience for our customers.
