My name is Daniel and I own and operate Pest Free Canada in Toronto, Ontario. My ambitions for 2026 are to grow my business into a company that clients know represents quality and dedication. Clients that I have visited as a owner/operator know this but I want potential clients to know too, that I provide the best pest control service they can find within my service area. I still struggle with the thought of growing my company when there is so much competition and want to learn how to make myself stand out. I essentially don't just want to grow my company, but grow a brand that everyone knows should be your first call when you have pest issues.
I am having a lot of nerves and hesitation about this, thinking if I should just stick to being a one man show and grind it out, or should I grow? I wonder about my potential employees and if I would ever be able to find someone who is basically a duplicate of me that I can send into any situation and they would offer the same level of service as I do. Am I being naïve or arrogant thinking I will never be able to find someone as good as me? Is this confidence and pride?
I have a lot of things to work out this year and I really believe that starting with the Jobber Summit is a great place to start. Learning from others is always a great place to start.
I could also really use a vacation!
