I used to be a project manager for a construction company, so I’ve dealt with this quite a bit.
For construction cleaning, you need General Liability that specifically lists “construction cleaning” or “post-construction cleanup.” Regular cleaning policies usually won’t cover you on active or new construction sites.
A lot of guys in this space use Cincinnati Insurance, Travelers, or State Farm. Just be upfront with your agent about the type of work you’re doing so you don’t get a claim denied later.
That’s the most important part.
