What Systems or Tools Helped You Take Your Cleaning Business to the Next Level?

I’m excited to be part of the Jobber community. I’m the owner of Spotless Care Cleaning Service, where we focus on providing reliable, high quality cleaning solutions for residential and commercial clients.

As I continue growing my business, I’m looking forward to connecting with other service business owners, learning from your experiences, and sharing what I’ve learned along the way. I’d love to hear from other owners.

What’s one system, tool, or strategy that helped you take your service business to the next level?

  • Honestly, Jobber has been a system that took our business to the next level. It took me from sole proprietor to a family owned and operated business because my older son who has been working with me for a couple of years started looking into a few different products similar to Jobber, but then chose this one because of its user friendliness, and the amazing customer service that they offer. It has streamlined my database, payments, keeping track of who is assigned to what jobs, etc. So the fact that you have it and start utilizing it will definitely change your organization and efficiency.

I really appreciate you sharing this! This is exactly the type of growth I’m working toward building stronger systems that allow the business to operate more efficiently while creating opportunities for family involvement and expansion.

I’m excited to start utilizing Jobber more and see how it helps streamline our scheduling, client management, payments, and overall organization. It’s encouraging to hear how it helped take your business from a sole proprietor operation to a family-owned and operated business. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Yeah, Jobber has been a huge help! Also a couple other thoughts I had, it seems overly simplified, but they can make or break you. Keep yourself healthy, work hard, rest hard. Also sharpen your skill, and sharpen your character. Awesome character with bad skills equals nobody hiring you. Awesome skills with bad character = people start hiring you and then you gain a horrible reputation for yourself in the industry. Business is just an extension of who you are and how you function in this life.

  • Welcome to the community! It’s great to have Spotless Care Cleaning Service here.

If there is one strategy that completely changes the game when you're looking to scale, it's this:

The fastest way to grow isn't always finding new clients—it's stopping the warm leads you already have from slipping through the cracks.

The 24-Hour Rule: If you send a quote and hear nothing, an automated, friendly follow-up should trigger exactly 24 hours later.

The Multi-Step Cadence: Set up a 3-step text or email sequence over 5 days (e.g., Day 1 check-in, Day 3 question about the scope, Day 5 final follow-up).

The Result: You will win a massive percentage of jobs simply because you were the most responsive and persistent business they contacted, all without you having to manually remember to send a text while you're busy on a job site. There is years of experience in these forums that you can use to your benefit, were glad your here!!! See you around!

Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it. This is very helpful, especially the follow-up structure. I’m currently working on building stronger systems for communication and consistency so I can better manage quotes and grow my client base effectively
