Business owner not doing well

As we strive to rebuild and grow our clientele, our mission remains clear: to provide exceptional cleaning services that exceed expectations, foster trust, and build lasting relationships with every client we serve.  Looking for some direction

      Hello Judith,

I am less than 3 months in business and don't know how to acquire and keep reoccurring clients. My niche in cleaning is Airbnb turnovers- quite a task to handle. Curious how you go about acquiring clients?

Our numbers show that we aquire customers via Google Ads, Referrals and Networking.  There is a lot of other initiative (Social Media, Doorknockers, Media Advertising etc) but by far the first three are our biggest lead generators.

  • What are your current obstacles?  How can we help with direction?

      Hey Laura,

As mentioned to Judith, I am finding difficulties of acquiring clients at the moment.  I am curious for any suggestions on how you have acquired clients?

Thank you and genuinely appreciate your inputs!

  • When I started my business, I did ads on Nextdoor and Facebook.  I also made up and printed flyers from my home computer and drove around neighborhoods that I wanted to work in and delivered them.  I offered a %20 off discount for first time clients and incentives for referrals.  I hope this helps.

Nextdoor was the most effective.  Followed by Facebook and flyers.  Once I got started, referrals were a great source of new business.

  • I thought of another idea.  If you want to clean Airbnb's you can search your area and send messages through the Airbnb system letting the owners know that you are in the area and this is your specialty. I am sure ChatGPT can help you with a clever message :)

I very much want to do that but it seems that Airbnb has a strict policy against marketing commercial services through their host contact option.  Is there a way around this that will allow my to reach them in a way that doesn't violate Airbnb's policy?

Wasn't aware of this  but it makes sense.  Not sure maybe inquiring about booking and asking about the cleaning?

There may be a facebook group for cleaners in your local area, if there are any tourist hot spots near you, target those areas. Also, you may have to send out 100 messages to acquire 1-2 clients, thankfully there are billions of people in the world. Dont get discouraged, and keep at it.
