For those of you in the North still dealing with snow and a delayed start to the season...

What are you doing right now to build momentum?

Are you focusing on marketing, pre-booking, equipment maintenance, training, upselling past clients, tightening systems, or something else?

This time of year can either feel like we’re stuck… or it can become a strategic advantage if used correctly. I’d love to hear what’s actually working for you and what advice you’d give to someone feeling behind because winter just won’t let go.

    We are always trying to create new ways to push us through January and February due to snow (we’re based in PA). To lock in cash flow, we ran a Black Friday prepay option to help maintain. We have increased our SEO spend and are spending extra time focusing on the client lifecycle journey— this includes little extras at milestone marks. When we are unable to fully book, we’ll run email campaigns to bring discounted work in as well. 

    Another thing that helps us is some of our staff has to stay home with their kids during snow days and that’s a selling point for candidates (flexibility). Luckily clients also cancel on snow days as well so it balances out!
