THe strategy I followed when I first started was ... unfortunately... be pretty inexpensive. If it's just you, it's a little easier but this way you can get reviews quickly. Only thing to be careful of is to still vet your clients. Have a process in place so you don't take a job you shouldn't. Once you get a certain amount a reviews, give yourself a raise! Another suggestion I have is use the lead platforms like thumbtack where you are paying for specific leads so you can get direct contact with interested parties. Don't invest in things like SEO or google pay for click where it's hard to track the return on revenue. One last thing before i get off my soap box. Do all the free stuff - starting a google my business page, make social media posts, make more social media posts, go on next door and reach out to people, look in to using AI to help scrape for leads. You just have to get money in the door and it will be a grind but focus on getting reviews early on and you will be ok.
