I think you answered your own question. I have found value in all three areas you mentioned and I think you need all three to build a successful business. Our involvement in our community keeps us at the front of our clients minds and gets us referrals. Through industry groups I have found mentorship and professional friendships. We have also built referral partnerships that have become strategic partnerships. None of this happens quickly and I actually think the key to all of these is to jump in and see what you can add rather than worrying about what you can get out of them.
