I think a lot of owners run into this exact challenge. The team can understand how the business runs, but growth strategy usually lives in our head because it’s tied to vision, risk tolerance, and long-term goals. One thing I’ve started realizing is that if the strategy isn’t being discussed regularly with leadership, it’s really hard for them to ever step into that role. Something that’s helped me is bringing key team members into the why behind decisions. New markets, expansion plans, etc. Not necessarily giving up control, but letting them see how the strategy is formed.
