I think the biggest difference comes down to consistency versus flexibility. A regular paycheque provides stability and makes budgeting easier, while payments per job can give more freedom but also more uncertainty. It really depends on whether you value predictable income or the potential upside of variable earnings.

In the begining when I left corporate and I had a steady paycheque it was easy life :) Then when I started cleaning on my own I made a lot of money. Once I decided that I will start a cleaning company I made myself an employee as well with salary. So I am still getting a paycheque :) And I like it that way.
