As a small cleaning business owner, I've learned that pricing isn't just about making a sale it's about making a profit while providing quality service.
I price my services based on the size of the home, the condition, the amount of time required, and the scope of work rather than charging strictly by the hour. This helps ensure every client receives a fair quote and allows me to cover my supplies, travel, insurance, taxes, and the time it takes to deliver high-quality results.
When I need to increase my prices, I communicate honestly and give my existing clients advance notice. I explain that rising costs for supplies, fuel, and operating a business make adjustments necessary. Most clients appreciate the transparency, especially when they know they're receiving dependable, consistent service.
I've found that the right clients understand that quality cleaning is an investment, and fair pricing allows me to continue providing the level of service they expect.
