Here's another approach worth considering. Instead of looking for one business credit card that does everything, why not build a combination of credit products that serve different purposes?
For example:
Card 1 — Cash Back: Use for everyday purchases such as materials and supplies.
Card 2 — Travel Rewards: Accumulate miles for business travel or conferences.
Card 3 — Gas Rewards: Use for fuel and vehicle-related expenses when the rewards justify it.
Business Line of Credit: Reserve for larger purchases or temporary cash flow needs.
The real strategy is knowing when to use each one.
If a credit card charges 20% interest and offers 2% cash back, carrying a balance for an extended period can wipe out the rewards. A business line of credit at 12% may be more economical for financing that expense.
On the other hand, paying a rewards card in full each month can generate cash back or travel miles without purchase interest.
Of course, annual fees and credit limits matter. Multiple accounts also require good organization.
The goal isn't to accumulate debt. It's to make the available credit products work together.
Has anyone tried combining multiple rewards cards with a business line of credit?
