What's something you intentionally spend more money on today?

As owners, we are taught to cut costs wherever possible. Sometimes spending more in the right places (improved software, branding, SEO, training, etc.) actually creates a stronger and more profitable company.

For us personally, we've almost doubled our advertising spend from last year- between visual media and brand ideation, web rebuild, AEO/GEO.

  • Cleaning solution and supplies. I just feel like I can never have too much . Some jobs require more than others and being prepared is where I stand out the most .

For us our corporate accounting, I think we pay almost double, but we've had the same firm all these years, and they just do such a good job. I feel protected.

Another one is software. I'm a bit of a junkie, but we are very tech-forward, so software is just super important to our business.

  • Copper mesh and caulking!

As the word spreads that we actually seal the holes where mice get in your home, I am getting way more jobs. More jobs, more holes to seal.

I went from ordering 3-5 rolls a month to over 15 a month very quickly.

  • Professional expertise is one area I’m learning not to cut corners on. Sometimes paying the right person for guidance can save far more than trying to figure everything out alone.
