Having one person focused on the big picture while the other locks down the systems and steps is a major superpower, especially when you're managing the leap from routine lawn maintenance into full landscaping projects.
To answer your question: I operate a solo exterior cleaning and pressure washing business based out of northeast Indiana.
Expanding into landscaping is a massive milestone, but it definitely changes the logistics (longer project timelines, bigger material ordering, and different cash flow rhythms compared to standard lawn care maintenance).
Since you two are tackling this transition together, are you planning to focus primarily on softscapes (plantings, sod, mulch) to start, or are you jumping straight into hardscaping like patios and retaining walls?
