How I Built My Lawn Care Business at 18 - Laser Cuts

My name is Trey, and I'm currently a senior at Carroll High School, graduating in a couple of weeks. Over the past year, I started building my lawn care business, Laser Cuts, in the Fort Wayne area. I mainly focus on mowing, trimming, edging, mulch installs, shrub removal, and yard cleanups.

One thing I've tried to focus on most is keeping prices affordable while still doing quality work. I know a lot of families and elderly homeowners struggle with expensive lawn care prices, so I try to keep my standard mowing around $40 and often go above and beyond on jobs to help people keep their properties looking good.

I've been growing mostly through Facebook, word of mouth, and local advertising. I'm trying to continue scaling the business, invest in better equipment, and eventually turn this into a long-term career.

Building a real business from scratch while finishing high school is incredibly impressive, and the fact that you're already thinking about investments and long-term growth at 18 says a lot about where you're headed. We're thrilled to have you in the community, Trey! There are lots of experienced pros here who've built exactly what you're working toward. Ask any and every question you have!
