How long did you work a full-time job before going all-in on your business?

I’ve been building Latiolais’ Lawn Co. on evenings and weekends while working a full-time job during the week. The business has grown a lot since I started, and I’m at the point where I’m trying to be smart about growth instead of rushing the process.

For those who made the jump from side hustle to full-time business owner:

  • What was the moment you knew it was time?
  • Did you leave because the business could support you, or because you were missing opportunities by staying employed?
  • Looking back, what would you have done differently?

I’d love to hear some real experiences from those who’ve already been through it. Thanks in advance.

I worked my full time job for 3+ years, while growing my scooping business (scooping every day from sunrise to sunset) and doing content creation all at the same time. We went from 70 to 160+ clients in a span of 4 weeks during spring rush around 2 years ago now and that's when my wife and I decided to quit our jobs and focus on our business 100%. It got to the point where our business was able to support our quality of life and we physically didn't have any time during the day to service our customers because of our full time jobs. It was the best decision I made.
