I feel your pain, man. Ohio weather can be rough when your whole business depends on dry ground.
Here’s what’s helped me the most:
Build a healthy backlog. Always stay 2–3 weeks booked out. That way when rain hits and you have to reschedule, you still have plenty of work lined up instead of scrambling.
Have a “rainy day” plan. Use those days for marketing, sending out proposals, calling property managers, or doing maintenance on your equipment.
Communicate early with customers. Let them know as soon as you see rain in the forecast so they’re not surprised when you have to move their job.
The key is expecting the rain instead of reacting to it.
