For us, it wasn't a specific revenue number, it was when we became the bottleneck.
If you're consistently booked out, turning away work, working nights and weekends, or spending all your time putting out fires, it's usually time to start thinking about hiring.
One thing I've learned is that hiring should happen slightly before you need it. If you wait until you're completely overwhelmed, you're trying to recruit, onboard, and train while already stretched too thin.
Sounds like you recognized that early, and going from one truck to three is a great example of hiring to support growth instead of reacting to burnout.
