My "No Compromise" is taking my daughter to school in the morning. I think most importantly it is my responsibility as my wife has to leave before me, but also it is my time alone with my daughter. We sing and dance, walk slow looking at sticks and flowers, chit chat about whatever and spend time together.
I am sure I could figure out something to get her to school if I wasn't available, but I don't want to think about that at all. On the same token, I could take on a job that starts at 8am and that is one more job a day, but again it's not something I am willing to comprmise on.

I think that's an amazing boundary. A lot of times we get so busy working hard to give our kids a better life that we forget that our presence IS that better life. I have very few memories of time like that with my father and I know the profound impact this will have on your daughter's world view and relationships as she gets older (WAYYYY older)

That’s so sweet! Honestly, those little morning moments are the stuff that really sticks. Love that you’ve made that time together a non-negotiable, it sounds really special :)
