I would say figure out what your aim is with the social media (brand awareness, sales, etc), target market, which platform is best and then put together a content/posting strategy and stick with it!!!!!!!!

Hi there, just posted this in another forum and thought it would be helpful here:

    Hi there,

For myself (Electrical business) - I post to Instagram / facebook / Linkedin / Youtube / Pintrest / GMB page (updates)

Now these are free organic posts. I have heard of people doing well on facebook with paid ads. I'm no expert on that though.

If I was you I would use something like Go High Level / Publer / Buffer to post to all of these accounts in one place. It just makes it easier. But post to all of them, each one has some benefits.

Instagram - I have the largest following there, seems to get a lot of views

Facebook - I don't see a lot of traction on my business facebook page for whatever reason

Linkedin - I feel like you can easily gain some eyes here but make sure these posts are the same as the other platforms, must be more business related

Youtube - I think it's sneaky good. It doesn't seem like I'm blowing up on youtube but I will regularly have people reach out to me saying I've watched all your youtube vids... I'm going to lean more in to youtube in the future I think

Pintrest - I only post here for SEO purposes

GMB page - Definitely update this daily so google knows you are relevant and you will see the calls come in. Posting daily here and working on my overall SEO has helped bring in more calls and revenue this year compared to last year.

I haven't really bothered with tik tok yet to give you info on that.

I don't think I've used marketing suite for any of this so far. I do use the email campaign feature though and it's been great.

    Good luck !

  • I would say figure out your brand and voice.  Most important.  Follow some other companies that you look up to and will help you with some ideas.  Most importantly be authentic and YOU!

I mentored Organizational Magic and what I love about them is their passion for what they do.  Check out their instagram: https://www.instagram.com/organizationmagic/

They are active on Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram.

You're on the right track just by showing up and asking.
Firstly you have to define, who is your target audience & what's your goal.

When it comes to growing your social media, here’s what worked for us:

Instagram has been our go-to for storytelling and brand trust.
Great for building local awareness and giving your audience a behind-the-scenes view.

LinkedIn is where we’ve secured real contracts. If you're looking for partnerships or B2B opportunities—start there. Speak to decision-makers, keep the message sharp, and highlight how you solve problems.

YouTube is great for deeper storytelling. Show your process, your personality, and your results.

Biggest tip: Every platform has its own personality. You have to speak the language of each, what works on IG might not land on LinkedIn.

If you’re just getting started, focus on documenting your journey rather than trying to be “perfect.”
    That’s what gets engagement.

Let me know how it goes, excited to see how it turns out.

  • Hi! Share clear before-and-after photos, post often and use helpful hashtags. Make your content relevant to current trends or seasons to stay visible. Reply to comments, share quick tips and be consistent. That’s how social marketing works best.

If you want to grow on social media, the first step is to figure out your goal (brand awareness, lead generation, sales, etc.) and your target audience. Once you know that, decide which platforms make the most sense for your audience and create a posting strategy you can actually stick to.
For us, I post regularly to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and our Google My Business (GMB) page. These are all free, organic posts. The Jobber email campaign feature is also very effective for staying in front of clients.

    Key tips:
Be authentic—let your real personality come through.
Follow and learn from companies you admire.
Use strong before-and-after photos and seasonal or trend-relevant posts.
Reply to comments and engage with your audience.
Understand that each platform has its own “personality” and you need to adapt your message accordingly.

Don’t overthink it. Document your journey rather than chasing perfection. That’s what gets real engagement.
