If creating a Google Business Profile post could take less than 30 seconds, what information would you want the system to automatically extract from your Appliance Repair photos?

Hi everyone,

We're building a platform specifically for appliance repair companies that simplifies Google Business Profile (GMB) posting. (gmbpostingez.com)

The goal is to make posting faster while helping businesses create better-optimized content. Users would upload a service photo, and the system would help generate captions, keywords, image descriptions, and organize image metadata to make content more relevant and easier for Google to understand while following Google's policies.

For appliance repair business owners:

  1. What are your biggest frustrations with creating GMB posts?
  2. What features would save you the most time?
  3. Would you prefer fully automated posting or reviewing/editing before publishing?
  4. What information would you want generated automatically from a photo (brand, appliance type, service type, location, etc.)?
  5. What reporting or tracking would you like to see (views, calls, rankings, engagement, etc.)?
  6. Are there any GMB-related tasks you currently do manually that you wish were automated?

We're looking for honest feedback before development continues. What would make a tool like this valuable enough for you to use every week?

Some feature ideas worth validating with them:

  • Upload photo → identify appliance type.
  • Detect likely brand from image.
  • Generate SEO-friendly GMB post.
  • Generate image filename automatically.
  • Generate alt text/image description.
  • Suggest service area/location.
  • Bulk posting for multiple locations.
  • Review management integration.
  • Before/after repair photo organization.
  • Schedule posts in advance.
  • One-click publish to multiple GBP locations.
  • AI asks questions if uncertain (e.g., "Is this a Whirlpool washer or Maytag washer?").
  • Track which posts generate calls, website visits, and direction requests.

The question I'd be most interested in asking appliance repair owners is:

"If creating a Google Business Profile post could take less than 30 seconds, what information would you want the system to automatically extract from your repair photos?"

  • This is a killer concept, David. Keeping up with consistent Google Business Profile posting while running a business out in the field is a massive chore.

To answer your main question: If a tool could handle a post in under 30 seconds, the absolute most valuable things it could extract from a job site photo are the appliance type, the brand, and the specific service location.

If I snap a photo of a torn-down washer, having the AI instantly recognize it’s a Whirlpool front-loader and tie it to the city or neighborhood I'm currently working in would be a game-changer. Local relevance is everything for search rankings.

A few quick thoughts from the field on your features:

    • Review before publishing is mandatory. Fully automated AI posting is too risky. A quick one-click review screen to check the caption before hitting publish is the sweet spot.
    • Before and after organization is huge. In the trades, before-and-after transformations are what actually sell the job to a customer looking at your profile.
    • Metadata and Alt Text. Automating the alt text and filename for image SEO is a tedious task that almost nobody does manually because it takes too long. Having the tool handle that in the background is a massive hidden value.

If you can make it so a tech can snap a photo on their phone, verify the brand or location, and push a localized post live before they even put the truck in drive, you’re going to have a lot of owners signing up.
