What would break first in your business if you doubled your client base tomorrow?

We’re a recurring-heavy business (~90% of revenue) with strong retention and a 21 tech team.

If we doubled overnight, hiring and training would break first. We rely on culture-fit techs delivering a high-touch, “magical” experience—and that doesn’t scale instantly.

The pressure points would be:

  • Hiring pipeline
  • Training capacity
  • Quality control
  • Scheduling + admin load

We’re now focused on building systems specific to these pressure points that can support 2x growth before it happens without losing service quality.

I'm working on solving this right now. Basically everything would break haha First thing is sales funnels that you can follow easily. Right now, we use a system that isn't super automated so it involves a bunch of manual follow up. I'm having someone build out a system in Go High Level to put conversations in to automation buckets so no one gets missed. I tried doing this on my own but it was half baked and didn't work for us.

Next is having someone in charge of production. Last year we grew by 70% which was great but we were totally maxed out on capacity. I couldn't watch over everything and though our guys did a really good job managing, it's not sustainable. This year we promoted an operations manager from within and they will be in charge of the promises we make to our clients. This will free me up to sell better jobs and work on the business more.
