So I got my business license just over 5 yrs ago not knowing exactly what I was going to do with it.
"Something in the electrical field" is what I was thinking since i was a journeyman electrician...

Your response makes perfect sense. I too am in a similar situation with my mobile business. I just celebrated one year in June, have been fully self-funded on an extremely tight budget, offering a plethora of services to individuals, banks/lending institutions over a 150-mile radius of my city. The soring price of fuel, extreme heat, auto repairs, and the cost of daily fluid top-offs until I can afford another repair, have forced me to focus travel to certain regions based on the number of orders. That has impacted my completion request-to-completion time not to mention my livelihood.
I applied for a full-time 8-5 and initially felt guilty and a little defeated. However, after reading your response, I am encouraged. I have an interview on Wednesday, and I can still perform most services after hours and on the weekends. God's got me!
