Feature Request - JOB Status at a glance
It would be great to have what some other softwares have for managing jobs at a glance. A JOB status (not just a custom field), but rather an actual high-level drop-down style list (that we can customize ideally), that denotes the STAGE or STATUS of this specific JOB. And that this Status shows in the pop-up info on the calendar/unscheduled list when hovering, or in JOB reports (sort by JOB Status) would be very helpful. We can end up with lots of Jobs sitting in the Unscheduled List as they go through phases or holds of the project. To be able to see the reason for it being on the unscheduled list at a glance is really the goal. A job may have status that looks something like this - Ordering, Prep, Pre-Wire, Hold for X reason, Installing, Final Trim, Needs Activation, Needs Demo, Completed, etc. It would just make it easier so much simpler for the whole team to see at a glance what the Jobs status truly is quickly. Currently we track this manually on a dry-erase board in the office, and to some extent now using custom fields, but you can not see custom fields at a glance, you have to click all the way into the JOB form. However, when using fields for this it is hard to change, as you have to open the JOB form and then hit Edit. Ideally these JOB Status would be able to be changed from the calendar/unscheduled pop-up view. Without ever editing the Job form. Even if we could select at least 1 Custom Field to show on the calendar/unscheduled pop-up view, that would be a great intermediate step. Preferably right under the Title of the calendar entry.Solved14Views0likes1CommentNew Schedule
Has anyone tried Jobber's new schedule? I assign a color to each of my staff so when looking at the schedule I know exactly who has been assigned. With the new schedule when you complete a job, task, or request it removes the color, making all completed jobs, tasks, or requests greyed out. Now if I have to go back & check who was assigned, which I often have to do on payroll days, I have to click on the event to see those details. Plus it is just a very ugly and boring schedule to view. According to Jobber's help topic on the New Schedule they state they are introducing a new schedule to make managing your calendar faster, clearer, and more efficient. With fewer clicks, less clutter, and smarter tools, scheduling and tracking jobs is easier than ever. For me and my business I have to disagree with that statement, especially with the statement few clicks! Would love to hear others opinions!Solved44Views0likes5CommentsScheduling ease Vs technician clarity…
Hi all, We have a lawn care business, majority of work is recurring and we’re trying to balance things between scheduling simplicity/ease and clarity for the field crew as far as target job times. Up till now I’ve been scheduling jobs in 30min blocks - mostly either 30mins or 60mins, it’s just easy to drag & drop to organise a day. If a job target time is 20 or 25mins, I list that in the job instructions for the techs. The downside that my wife keeps pointing out, is that if the scheduled time is 30mins, the techs will drag it out to 30mins. So she wants a job with a 25min target time to actually have a 25mins scheduled time. To me that creates dramas when I have my Ops Manager hat on, I mostly look at the schedule in week view and anything less than 30mins on the schedule is practically unreadable. (Maybe the new Schedule will be better, but I haven’t switched over because I need the bulk move visits feature.) Any comments or idea are appreciated. 🙏Solved19Views1like1CommentCreating route efficiency for scheduling
Hello all, I'm looking for tips on how to adjust our schedule to create the most efficient route for our technicians. As it stands, we have an online booking system that allows customers to book appointments for the following windows: morning (8:00AM-12:30PM) or afternoon (12:30PM-5:00PM). We do allow for multiple bookings in the same window and this is where the route efficiency can get messed up. In the past, we would adjust the appointment start time to create the efficient route. Now we have email automations setup and we do not want to confuse the customer by sending them an email with an arrival window different from what they originally booked. Is there a way to rearrange the appointments for route efficiency without changing the appointment start time?36Views2likes4CommentsIs there any way, or chance of an update, to manually "mark job as scheduled"?
The jobber calendar just isnt very intuitive IMO. I have the sync setup to my google calendar, but it's only 1 way, and it syncs seemingly whenever it wants to so its constantly not updated properly. I prefer the UI of google calendar. I'd like to just use that to schedule, then I can just mark a job as scheduled without giving any other info. Especially since any further workflow options seem to be locked behind whether or not a job is scheduled.13Views0likes1CommentBlocking time in jobber schedule as unavailable
Does anyone know how to block off time in Jobber when not available? Since Jobber does not do a two-way sync with Google calendar, I need a way to block off time in Jobber when I'm not available. I don't want to have to change my business hours or make fake jobs in jobber to block off time for personal appointments. Does anyone know how to get around this? For example, if my hours are 10 am to 7pm, but I have a doctors appointment at 11 AM, how can I make it so nobody can book me during that time? Thanks109Views1like3CommentsManaging Fill in Jobs
Hi Community! One challenge we face is keeping track of fill in jobs or jobs that need a follow up visit but dont know exactly when it will happen. Having one central location or a way to keep track of all of these for easy reference would be key. We try to use the job status' as much as possible but turns out this does not always work. The work around we have done is creating a new customer named "Fill In" then created a new job titled "Fill In Jobs List". Now techs or **bleep** can add a new line item with scope of work, estimated duration and job number. Each new line item represents a separate fill in job. This puts all our fill ins in one location and we can reference it then direct to the job number in Jobber for scheduling. This works but don't feel its scalable. Curious what others have been doing for this! Thanks, Carson6KViews1like5Comments
