Home Service Pros, This is Your Era. But Are You Taking Advantage of it?

This is the era of the blue collar business owner. Demand is strong, job sizes are growing, and the economy needs you more than ever.

BUT there's a widening gap between businesses that are pulling ahead and those just keeping up, and it comes down to the tools they use.

  • 88% of fully-booked, high-growth businesses are using AI in their day-to-day operations. Only 27% of struggling ones are.
  • 64% of pros under 30 are already using AI and they're applying it across invoicing (61%), quoting (55%), marketing (55%), and more.

👉 A new 2026 Home Service Trends Report breaks down exactly what top performers are doing differently: pricing, lead gen, response times, and more.

Where do you think your business falls? Are you keeping up, or pulling ahead?

  • What would be a good way to fond what AI processes could be working for your business? I don't see any use for it in my day to day but I could massively be missing out on some opportunity by not knowing what I don't know.

  • In our electrical business, we’ve started using AI and automation to tighten up the backend—things like faster quoting, cleaner proposals, and more consistent follow-ups. It’s not replacing the work, but it’s making us way more efficient and professional on the customer side. Response time alone has been a game changer.

That said, there’s still a gap. The companies really winning right now are the ones fully integrating AI into estimating, marketing, and operations, not just dabbling in it. That’s the next level we’re actively building toward.

Bottom line—if you’re not using tools to move faster and look more polished than your competition, you’re probably just keeping up… and in this market, that’s risky.

  • We have used multiple AI systems including the pro version of GPT. Once trained, AI can quickly dig through repetitive grunt work and save a ton of time. But, that is just the tip of the ice berg. At this point, nearly every component of our company is using some form of AI and as we continue to grow that is only going to increase.
